Conveying Oily and Greasy Materials
OilBelt conveyor belts are designed to handle oily and greasy materials containing non-polar organic solvents and fuel.
The carcass transmits traction forces from energy unit through driving drum to conveyor belt and the transported material. It also provides for high tensile strength and resistance to impact fracture. The carcass is formed of several layers of textile plies rubberized with a special rubber compound resistant to harmful effects of oily substances and safeguarding good adhesive properties among plies. It is made of polyamid textile (P) or polyester textile lengthwise and polyamid textile in transverse direction (EP).
Rubber covers protect carcass of the conveyor belt against outdoor climate conditions, mechanical damage and harmful effects of chemical substances to which the conveyor belt is exposed. Good adhesion of the covers and carcass safeguards the transmission of traction forces from driving drum to the carcass. The cover layers are made of special polymers which are resistant to harmful effects of transported materials.
Use of OilBelt conveyor belts:
G - volume of the rubber covers cannot extent its volume for more than extra 30% when oiled by ASTM 3 during 46 hours period and 100Celsius surrounding temperature
GT - volume of the rubber covers cannot extent its volume for more than extra 70% when oiled by ASTM 3 during 72 hours period and 120 Celsius surrounding temperature
GMOR - volume of the rubber covers cannot extent its volume for more than extra 70% when oiled by ASTM 3 during 72 hours period and 70 Celsius surrounding temperature
